Efficiently documenting evidential items is a problem for law enforcement agencies. ERT has been designed to easily and quickly create an evidence report that links recovered material to a case—suspect or location.

ERT seamlessly integrates a Canon camera into software designed to carry out this process with a minimal level of training necessary. It provides a fast method to supply information to investigators before the recovered items are transferred to the existing property store procedures.

With officers having to deal with increasing amounts of paperwork and form filling, the automated report generator means that they can be more efficient and avoid bottlenecks that might have occurred in the past.

With ERT, the user can capture and document their evidential items into a professionally formatted report, which can be generated into a pdf, doc or html file. ERT will import photos directly from the Canon camera in real time, as well as photos stored on a PC, removable device or another camera. Supplementary items such as pdf files, Word documents and text files can also be included in the final report.

ERT supports archiving all case items to a CD or DVD at the end of the process, allowing data to be easily transferred between departments or to other agencies. The software has a well designed workflow that can be customized through its program settings to integrate with existing departmental procedures.
